works here as on the map.
Size means team members
for companies and stars for projects — two different things in one
column, so it only ranks meaningfully once you have filtered to
yc: or oss:.
Machine-generated
recombinations of concepts mined from the corpus, ranked by distance from
everything that exists. Each one is grounded: its terms have to
co-occur in real descriptions, which is what separates an unoccupied
combination from four unrelated words. The share of a gap’s term pairs
that appear together somewhere in the corpus is shown as its grounding score.
Role assignment can still misfire — a term that is not really an audience
can land in the “for…” slot — so read the nearest real
things too: they say what each gap sits between, and they are never
generated.
